Hello girls,
I'm back again with another make up review. Still from the same brand that I shared about in my previous post, Emina Cosmetics.
As you guys know, Emina brings the theme "Beauty is Fun". This bring a message that make up is something fun to play with and boost your creation. For this message, they called their product "Decorative make up".
The product I wanna share today is Emina City Chic CC Cake. It's the only make up product I got during Surabaya Beauty Blogger 4th Soiree, beside the body care that I shared in my previous post.
EMINA CITY CHIC CC CAKE (ANTI DULLNESS)
A unique combination of powder and foundation, gives an instant matt and velvety complexion. Addition of apricot oil gives an extra moisturizing, easy blending and long lasting effect.
Now let's start from the packaging box. This product packed with a combination of light and bold peach color packaging box, decorated with city view illustration at the front.
There's a description in english and indonesian at the back of the packaging box, including the ingredient list, exp date and manufactured information.
The shade information is written at the bottom of the packaging box. This CC Cake available in 4 shades. There are Meringue, Peach, Butterscotch and Latte. I got a shade LATTE which is the darkest shade, and I think it is too dark for my skin tone.
Now let's jump to the product.
Just like usual compact powder, this product comes in a round powder case with a pink and peach color combination. The brand name Emina is printed at the center and the packaging is more like a cushion case than powder case.
At the back, there's an information about the shade, exp date and nett, printed in a white sticker.
I personally love the packaging design. It's so cute, girly and attractive.
When you open the case, normally you'll see mirror and a puff at the top of the powder. But for this one, you can directly see the powder.
You can see the shade is in yellowish tone which is totally not my tone. If I could choose, maybe I will choose the peach or meringue. But I'm gonna try to let you know the texture, coverage, etc.
I firstly thought that this CC Cake didn't include the puff, but after i checked under the powder, the puff was hiding there. 😁😁😁
It's a regular soft white puff with no handling ribbon.
Well, at least they provided the puff, i won't complain.
I'm gonna use this CC cake on my bare face. Since it contain foundation, I will directly use it after moisturizer. Here's my bare face. I have some acne scar around my chin.
I will use this CC Cake at half of my face and see whether this product could cover my acne scar. Here it is....
So this product can cover my pores but for acne scar, it's still visible. And there you can see the left side where I used this CC cake looked darker than my skin color. In the pic below, I will show how it looks with flash.
Under the flash, you can see the yellow tone of this cc cake which definitely against my skin tone.
Now I will use it all over my face.
And after 5 hours, here's how it looked.
I can say this product has a really great oil control. But the shade became darker after oxydize. You can compare with the pic before.
After trying this CC Cake, here's my conclusion.
This CC cake has a matte finish and not suitable for dry skin type. My skin is dry combination and I use moisturizer before using this CC cake, somehow it still feels cakey, but not patchy.
After 2 hours it started to oxydize and became more comfortable.
For you who have oily skin, this product has a perfect oil control. It will leave your skin shine free at least for 4 hours. And you don't need to re-apply because it stays on your skin. This product also doesn't have fragrance so it might be good for sensitive skin like mine.
And finally, here's my pros and cons.
Pros :
~ cute packaging
~ great oil control
~ didn't break me out
~ smooth on your skin
~ great lasting power
~ easy to be cleaned with micellar water
Cons :
~ no handling ribbon on the puff
~ too dark for my skin tone
~ less moisturizing
Overall, I rate this 3.5 out of 5.
If you want to buy this product, you can go to their website at www.eminacosmetics.com.
Finally, I'd like to say thank you to Emina Cosmetic and Surabaya Beauty Blogger for letting me try this CC cake. Also for everyone who read my blogpost. Thank you and feel free to leave a comment below if you have any question, suggestion or anything related to this product.
Have a good day and stay fabulous!
