MY SKIN JOURNEY

Hi everyone,
Today i wanna share about my skin journey, how i struggle with my acne prone, sensitive and over reactive skin. It's gonna be quite a long writing so I hope i won't make you sleep with this post. Have a cup of coffee maybe before starting. Lol 😂😂😂

During my puberity, i was struggling with my skin condition. I started to break out all around my face, small pimple but too many. It made me so unconfident since my friend seems to look at me with weird look. It was like there were something disguisting and this is no kidding.

I began to buy some drugstore facewash for acne with big expectation that my acne will be cleared up after using. But guess what, it got worse and worse. I replace with other brand with the same expectation but nothing seemed to help. My skin got worse and worse. The pimple was getting bigger and red. That was suck!

I couldn't help it anymore. I decided to go to the dermatologist. The doctor prescribed me with acne cream contain sulphur. He asked me to dab into my acne every night after washing my face.  And he also asked me to use milk cleanser to wash my face rather that cleansing foam. So i did what he said. It worked!!! My acne slowly cleared out.

Since then, i kept using that cream until ny acne completely gone. And i used loreal cleansing milk to clean my face. My face was acne free but very dull and dry. It might because of the sulphure. But i didn't care as long as i could be free from acne. I used that cream for about 3 years. Then suddenly i lost my prescribtion. I lost the doctor contact. And it was tough.

I tried to use drugstore product but it didn't work. My pimple started to appear. I was to afraid that it would became worse like it was before. So i collected some information about skin clinic from my friends. One of my friend suggest me to try E*** clinic. She said it worked great on her skin. So i tried to register.

There the doctor prescribed me with mosturizer, sun cream, acne cream, night cream and also some oral medicine. I got quite amazing result through that clinic. My face became a lot better only after 3 weeks. No more acne or pimple. So i decided to stick there.

After 2 or 3 years, i noticed my skin was red. I guess it was too late to notice. I was too concern with acne without thinking about other skin problem like dryness, dehydrated, redness, etc. I became to worry again. But i was too afraid to release my skin from those cream. I was afraid the acne will come back like before. I kept using that until one point i look at the mirror and realize how red my skin was. It was sunburnt red. And even though i covered it with powder, it still red. And it hurt.

So i decided to stop the night cream. I just realized that they use too many chemical peeling inside the cream. And my skin just couldn't handle it. I discussed my problem with one of the beauty online shop owner which became my best friend now. She suggested me to drink collagen which i have reviewed in my previous post. And she asked me to try acne cream prescribed by a dermatologist in japan.

I tried it and it worked well on my skin. My skin became more calm, the redness started to fade and i slowly started to leave all those cream from E*** clinic. I used the acne cream at night and in the morning i used mosturizer and Legere bb cream. It was my skin life saver. Unfortunatelly it was hard to find in indonesia. Even my friend didn't import it any longer.

This bb cream really soothe my skin, calm my redness and iritation without causing acne. And it was like my second skin..so natural but it can cover all my blemishes, acne scar, large pore, etc. It can be used for sensitive skin or for the post laser it or post chemical peeling. It already had spf also. So you don't need to use many layer on your skin.

And through those experience, i googling some information about skin and i realize what type of my skin is. What best and what bad for this type of skin. I have acne prone, super sensitive, normal to dry skin type. And it was hard to find a product that won't break out my skin. So through this post, i want to share with you the product which is suitable for my skin, and if you have the same problem, maybe we can share information.

Now i noted that my skin can't use any product that contain :
- fragrance
- alcohol
- soap (i can only use cleansing oil, milk, or water)
- mineral oil

Right now the product that i ritually use are :
- shu uemura balancing cleansing oil fresh (pink)
- bioderma cleansing water
- sk II facial treatment essence
- dr. Jart+ ceramidin liquid
- paula choice 2% bha liquid
- dr. Jart+ black label nourishing bb cream
- kose seikisho eye cream
- esme translucent loose powder (from erha clinic)

And for inner treatment i drink :
- meiji amino collagen
- mettathione reduced glutathione supplement

I'm 34 years old turning 35 on May this year, and this is my skin condition today. You can see i still have some acne scar, redness, large pore & fine lines. But it's already a lot better than few years ago.

Through this blog, i wanna keep trying to find some.other product that suit my skin. I didn't mind trial and error. Because if we didn't try, how could we know it was good or bad. So let's go through this journey together.

Thank you for reading and feel free to leave a comment or questions. Looking forward to hear from you all :)

Happy weekend!!!
