I'm back again after my last post about my June empties products. There I was sharing about my previous toner that i really love. Whamisa organic toner (original). That toner does make my skin become supple and free from dryness and tacky.
And after finished Whamisa, i decided to try another toner from another korean brand which is quite popular recently with their skin care product. It's Chica Y Chico Skin Texture Toner. I got this toner from the Althea total brightening box last month. So here it is.
Let me start from the packaging box. The packaging box is very simple and minimalist. It has english description at the front of the packaging box, and the hangeul description at the back.
The design is exactly the same between the packaging box and the packaging bottle.
There's an english description written :
Chica Y Chico - Skin texture toner
Skin texture toner hydrate the rough skin and give more elasticity with sliding water complex so that your skin looks even and moist
And it removes the excess sebum and waste deep inside, clear up the dry flaky dead skin cells without irritation.
Your skin becomes smoother and clearer with this toner.
What makes this toner different is the bottle caps. Usually toner comes with turning cap (or whatever it called 😂). But this one, it comes with press button like a bottle that used for hand sanitizer packaging. It's quite rare to be used for a toner. However, i think it's not a really big deal as long as it keeps my toner from leaking.
The texture of this toner is watery and not sticky like my previous one. But it's a little bit thicker than the sk II facial treatment essence. Here the texture looks like
It has watery texture with no scent at all. And i love any kind of product without fragrance because i'm allergic to that. So i give this toner a thumb up for the formula.
I've been using this toner for 3 weeks and i really love the effect on my skin. This toner not only hydrate my skin but also gives my skin a natural glow after it absorbed.
Compare to whamisa organic toner, if you have really dry skin, this might not work as well as whamisa to cure your dryness. But if you have normal to dry skin, this toner is perfect.
Sometimes when i felt my skin is dry or lack of water, i use this toner for 7 steps skincare by layering it on my skin for 7 times. And it really works wonder after i woke up in the morning.

The picture above showing how my skin before using toner, and the right one is after using 3 layers of this toner. You can see that this toner quickly absorbed into my skin and didn't look greasy or heavy. It directly gives the glowing effect but not over glow.
Now let me show you another picture after using 7 layers.
Usually i take some times after 3 layers before continue another layer to make the toner fully absorbed. I didn't use a cottonpad but directly put into my palm and dab it into my face until it fully absorbed.
And finally here's how my skin looks like directly after using 7 layers of this toner.
You can see my skin became supple, feel like drink up and hydrated well. Actually my skin is not as perfect as it shown. It's due to the lighting i guess.
Without further say, here's the result in the morning after 7 steps korean skin care using this toner.
Usually the air conditioner does make my skin dry and dehydrated. But i try to regularly practising this 7 steps skin care twice a week. And i can see the difference on the texture of my skin. I'm gonna show my imperfect skin but much better by zooming out the picture.
In this picture above you can see that my skin is not flawless. But by practising this method, i feel it does help my skin drink up and hydrated enough.
So after all, here's my final thought about this toner

~ fragrance free
~ watery texture, easy to absorbed
~ hydrated my normal to dry skin
~ alcohol free
~ give natural glow after absorbed
~ simple packaging bottle

Anyway, if you ask which one is better between this toner an whamisa, i will say it depend on the condition of your skin. If your skin feel really dry, i guess whamisa will cure more quickly. But if your skin just normal to dry and just need extra water, this chica y chico would be a perfect choice. Especially for sensitive skin like mine.
